We are looking for a full-time Biological Technician who loves Louisville’s Olmsted-designed parks and parkways as much as we do. The individual hired for this position will be a member of the Team for Healthy Parks. Applicants should have basic skills in plant identification, ecological restoration techniques and equipment operation. Arborist techniques and mechanic knowledge are desired skills. Join our team!
JOB TITLE: Biological Technician
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Natural Areas Manager, the Biological Technician is responsible for natural areas restoration and amenities projects in our Olmsted Parks. Projects include planting and plant maintenance, exotic species removal, trail maintenance, meadow management, amenity installations and other general maintenance tasks.
