Chickasaw Pond fishing is coming!

Here’s what you need to know about fishing at Chickasaw Park!
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has worked with Louisville Parks and Recreation to stock the pond in Chickasaw Park with 1,700 fish. These are just babies! They need time to grow and spawn before they make a good catch. See these photos for the size of the fish.
Chickasaw Pond has undergone restoration after environmental cleanup of contaminants.
Louisville Parks and Recreation, Division of Water, and KDFWR will be testing fish. FISHING IS CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY until 2028, when testing will be completed.
Stocking public waters is illegal – do not move fish from elsewhere to stock the pond.
