In a time when the country seems so divided, connecting with people who share your interests is a good way to boost your mental health. At Olmsted Parks Conservancy, enthusiastic volunteers are eager to work together to elevate our parks.
Our volunteers build friendships and community while caring for our urban green spaces. Each volunteer event is an opportunity to get active in the fresh air and be part of the ongoing work to keep our Olmsted Park System beautiful and healthy for future generations.

Volunteer work can include trash sweeps, tree plantings, touch up painting and more. Many volunteers find themselves working toward Park Steward certification and working in specific park areas where they get to know the native flora and unique management needs. Those who may not be suited for physical labor can also help with administrative work and events!
Of course, we can’t neglect to mention the annual Volunteer Appreciation Party, where we honor our Volunteer of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Century Club for 100 hour volunteers. This highly anticipated annual event is a wonderful time for volunteers to catch up and celebrate their hard work.
